The Central Alabama Gun Club is located 14 miles east of Montgomery. Their shooting range houses 14 pistol bays, 100 and 300-yard rifle ranges, a falling pistol bay, and an archery range. Their facilities also include an air-conditioned clubhouse along with 4 restrooms. 

The CAGC offers gun training but they are mostly known for their gun-related challenges and matches. They hold public matches from known organizations such as the International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) and the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA).

What’s great about their matches is that they are open to the public. There is no membership required to participate. It doesn’t matter if you’re a first-timer or a veteran, you can join in any of their matches. 

F.O.P Range Inc. – Pleasant Grove

The F.O.P Shooting Range is a family-oriented range near Birmingham. It houses 7 outdoor ranges with a covered shooter’s area up-range. It also has a steel plate range with 120+ plates and a 22 Rimfire range with wall to wall plate racks.

They sell ammunition for a cheap price for more time in the shooting range. They also provide training. The training range is free for anyone in the Law Enforcement agency.

They also provide online gun purchase and FFL service for as low as $20. What makes F.O.P stand out is their giant traffic light that informs shooters of the proper range condition.

East Alabama Gun Club – Phenix

Larry’s Pistol and Pawn offers a modern indoor shooting range in Madison County. You need to be at least 19 years old to shoot on the indoor range. If you’re with a minor, they can shoot for free provided you paid and are a responsible guardian.

They also rent out firearms but only for 21 years old and above, some gun ranges in North Dakota seemingly share the same facility rule.
