• Place the rare earth magnet inside the gym sock.
• You’ll be trying to locate the solenoid. The solenoid is usually in the front door of a gun safe.
• Use the sock with the magnet inside to locate the solenoid. This happens when the door of the gun safe opens.

The purpose of the gym sock is to reduce the magnetic force of the magnet making it easy to move around and remove once you’ve opened the Sentinel gun safe. Make sure that you also store the neodymium magnet in a safe place and away from children’s reach as they can be a rather dangerous object.

Drill a Hole

If you’ve exhausted all your options then you might have to drill a hole into your Sentinel gun safe. However, keep in mind that once you do this, the Sentinel gun safe would be damaged and you won’t be able to use it again.
